Triptych, Part 1: Movement
On my own, I made a three part work of artsound: “Triptych.” This film was in part inspired by a conversation with iconoclast and lo-fi rocker NBomb, in which he talked about a musicvideoesque marvel composed of treacly music and random moving shots around Boston.
The music for “Triptych” was provided by The Disband, a collaborative recording duo based in Boston and Dallas.
With soundtrack "The Whole Room Is Silent," this first installment introduces images and character themes that are expanded in the subsequent two movements, telling a story of sorts about moving on and moving with. Some may ask: what's the significance of the case, and what's in it? To which I say: there is both a literal and figurative answer.

Mark, this was a provocative
Mark, this was a provocative discussion. I suppose as devil's advocate I would be less enthusiastic about some of the points you made, such as the reconceptualizing of knowledge. I think of the Atlantic Monthly cover article a few months back with the lovely title "Is Google Making Us Stoopid?"
Perhaps in the panel in June this might be what I should be doing: asking the philosopher's questions about the implications of Web 2.0.
WOWZERS, James's brother...
WOWZERS, James's brother... you have such a talented singing voice! And your Mandarin is excellent! As a native speaker of the Chinese language, I am very impressed. Mad props to you! :D
That's a cool thing.
